In a forgotten corner of the world, where time has eroded both memory and form, two skulls rest side by side. Once vessels of thought, emotion, and life, they now lie entangled with the dark tendrils of nature reclaiming them. The bones, white and cracked, stand as silent witnesses to the passage of time, while the creeping vines and flowers wrap themselves around the skulls as though cradling them in an eternal embrace. This is a moment of stillness, suspended between life and death, where the end has come, and nature has begun its quiet takeover.
The skulls, one with hollow eye sockets, the other with the faintest traces of wear, seem almost to face each other. In their union, there is an unspoken story of shared existence—of love, of companionship, of lives once lived together. But now, they are bound not by the flesh of their former selves but by the roots of the earth that cling to their remnants. The fabric that shrouds them, dark and flowing like shadows, mirrors the finality of death while providing a sense of solace, as though the earth itself offers comfort to these remains.
The Last Embrace speaks of the inevitable return to the earth, of life ending and being woven into something greater. The flowers that bloom from the vines wrapping around the skulls symbolize the constant rebirth and regrowth of nature, even in the face of death. The intertwined bones suggest that death does not sever all bonds but, in some ways, strengthens them. Their final resting place is not in a grave but in the soil, surrounded by the quiet beauty of life that continues to emerge from the darkness. The skulls, though still, are part of a cycle—neither forgotten nor discarded, but embraced by the earth in its timeless, renewing rhythm.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ORDER ARRIVES DAMAGED?
Don’t stress! If an item you order with us arrives damaged please simply send us an email to info@thefeatherandbone.com or head on over to our contact page and fill out the form there. We will ask you to take some photos of the damaged item(s) as well as photos of the shipping box and materials, if possible. After review, we’ll schedule a replacement order for you. You may be asked to ship back the damaged item—in which case a return shipping label will be provided.
IS THERE A RETURN POLICY?
Items may only be returned within 15 days if unopened in original packaging. Please contact us via our contact page, or send an email to info@thefeatherandbone.com with the subject "Returns." FB is not responsible for shipping costs of returned items.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO ARRIVE?
Ordered items are shipped from our fulfillment partners and usually leave the warehouse anywhere from 1-to-5 days after the order is placed. From there it’s up the shipping company or mail carrier to get your package to your mailbox or door. Please note delays can sometimes happen. You will be provided with tracking info to track your order from our warehouse to your doorstep.
HOW ARE INTERNATIONAL ORDERS HANDLED? WHAT ABOUT VAT & OTHER TAXES?
Whenever possible we ship International Orders from our Germany-based Fulfillment Center. This goes a long way towards limiting or eliminating VAT when shipping to other countries in the EU.
International orders are labeled as magic supplies or magic tricks. VAT may still apply in many countries, so please check your local importation regulations. For instance, orders to the United Kingdom are subject to a Value Added Tax. Values cannot be substituted, for legal reasons. You are responsible any taxes and fees applied when your receiving your order.
